Warhammer Renaissance armyproject 2024
Inspired, like many before us, by the White Dwarf articles series "A Tale of Four Gamers" (WD 218->);
a couple of Swedish Warhammer enthusiasts recently decided to make a small armychallenge for the coming year. Beginning January 2024, we will be introducing and presenting our armyprojects monthly.
The guidelines are as follows:
2000 points worth of army, for the fan-made Warhammer Renaissance ruleset, presented each month in batches of ~400 points.
We will each start the year by introducing our respective armyprojects and ideas.
The sixth and last month will be for finishing leftovers or extras, summarizing our efforts and presenting our finished armyprojects.

Part 5: ScatteredFlesh's Beastmen
A lot has happened since my last post, both in terms of hobbying and this project in particular even if I'm quite late with my part 5. I mean, there's even a part 6 (Niklas amazingly colorful o&g's) out so I'm kind of ruining the chronological order of things in this (kind of half-dead?) blog. Sorry! But as I said, I have a lot to show you, so let's get into it.
I filled out my unit of monopose Gors from all the way back in Part 2 with a command squad. It consists of a Pestigor repurposed as a champion for the squad, as was befitting of his pose, and a kitbashed musician and bannerbearer. The banner design is stolen from an old woodcut piece, I just made the artistic decision to make the goat blue. This kind of sparked the idea that the Thorns of Chaos (as the warband is named) worship this blue goat figure. This kind of ties back to my minotaurs, who have painted themselves blue. The one with the shield is actually a blood bowl figure originally, with an added hand sculpted shield and a 3D-printed brutal weapon, with a hand from the classic plastic zombie kit attached.
The biggest time sink for this project so far has been my chariot I named 'The shit wagon', which is mostly made out of popsicle-sticks. The wheels are hand sculpted and blue-stuff copied, which was then repurposed as a shield for one of the minotaurs above.
And lastly, here's a 3D-print-kitbashed diorama that will serve as a unit filler of some kind. It has a beautiful story behind it. I mentioned my friend passing in my previous post, and Hampus was the leader of the Cheeky Badgers, a kitchen that served the hungry at collaborative events. Now he will serve the hungry on the battlefields of the Old World forever.
