Warhammer Renaissance armyproject 2024

Inspired, like many before us, by the White Dwarf articles series "A Tale of Four Gamers" (WD 218->);
a couple of Swedish Warhammer enthusiasts recently decided to make a small armychallenge for the coming year. Beginning January 2024, we will be introducing and presenting our armyprojects monthly.

The guidelines are as follows:

2000 points worth of army, for the fan-made Warhammer Renaissance ruleset, presented each month in batches of ~400 points.

We will each start the year by introducing our respective armyprojects and ideas.
The sixth and last month will be for finishing leftovers or extras, summarizing our efforts and presenting our finished armyprojects.

Part 3: Beastmen and chickendragon

This last month has passed so fast! On top of that, it's been quite a chaotic month for me, at least hobby-wise. Don't get me wrong, I've done a lot, but most of it is half-finished projects. Don't say I didn't warn you! But anyway, I managed to complete a couple models for the army. Let's get the elephant (chicken-dragon, more like) in the room out of the way first: A finecast Cockatrice!
I know, I know. It kind of sticks out like a sore thumb from the rest of the army, era-wise. It's also quite the centerpiece, so finishing it this early is a bit unconventional. But when I found it NIB for a decent price, I couldn't help myself. It's also a Trish sculpt, so it gets the pass just by that merit. Speaking of Trish sculpts...
This is 'Two-head', the oldest miniature I've ever painted. It might also be the ugliest Warhammer sculpt ever, and you never see it in any of the 'top x ugliest warhammer miniatures'-videos, so you heard it here first everybody! Uglier than the doomrider, for sure, which I am also lucky to have NIB in my collection. As you can see, I added some roses that I blue-stuff copied from the fantastic Garden of Morr-kit. I think it makes a good representation of his shamanic magical connection to earth magic. The second head got itself a little free-handed eye to unmistakenly single these conjoined twins as powerful magicians. I don't think the original model was meant to be one, but here we are and it's absolutely marvelous. Lastly, here is 'hard-hoof', that I might use as a champion for my ungors.
And about those half-finished projects... Here is a sneak peek of what took up most of my hobby time this month. My first totally original sculpt, 'Geta-pågen' (goatboy). Stay tuned to see it painted up, and maybe even made available as an .STL in the not too distant future! Exciting.
